Federal Way Naturopathy has become the model alternative care providers hope to mirror.
The health care community looks to our physicians as a first resource for guidance in restoring their patients to optimal health and well being. Our doctors and staff have been instructors at Bastyr University and have presented at the AANP (American Association of Naturopathic Physicians) and WANP (Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians) conferences.
FWN is recognized as a leader in the field and a desired clinic to practice with. We have achieved this by tapping into the skill of each doctor on staff and working as a team to provide a positive outcome for our patients. We were awarded one of two nationally selected Integrative STAIR Residency Sites in 2013. STAIR is a certified postdoctoral program for naturopathic graduates that provides a unique clinical experience under the guidance of both naturopathic and medical doctors.
We provide a sense of well being for patients that can be felt as they arrive at our clinic. Our landscaping and building are chemical free, and our staff is dedicated to quality care and patient support.
FWN pictures itself as a garden and our staff as gardeners. We enjoy input from our employees, contractors and patients to create our ideal environment. This entails regular meetings, staff retreats, and celebrations. In addition, we host a Facebook page and encourage patient comments with cards placed strategically in our building.
We also believe we have an even larger responsibility to the community. As a team, we choose volunteer opportunities in which we can all contribute. These have included free clinic days at our building staffed by doctors, office staff and other building practitioners. We believe that in coming together we can make a difference. In addition to past sponsorship of our doctors volunteering in Ethiopia and Haiti, we give free health talks, interviews or articles on a near monthly basis in our community.
We perform a detailed patient history and appropriate physical exams, and order lab tests as necessary. We spend a full hour of time getting to know each new patient and their history at the first office visit. Follow-up visits are 30 to 40 minutes as needed.

Federal Way Naturopathy is committed to sustainable choices in every aspect of our practice. We use only recycled paper and organic (or no) fertilizers in our landscaping. We clean without harsh chemicals, and we remodel with the greenest products and materials available. And we are proud to have installed one of the first rain gardens in Federal Way.
